At the top of Attuf Ridge there are two rock-carved Obelisks on the two parts of the ravine: the southern part is named after the ridge; Obelisk Ridge and it represent god Dusara, the other is the goddess Allat. The Two Obelisks are aligned east/west of each other about 30.5 meters apart. They stand 6 meters high which is no exceptional height until one remembers that they have been carved in one solid piece from the living rock on which they stand and were not placed or constructed there. We realize, with amazement, that to velar the area around them must have been an enormous task. This effort is exhibited because the obelisks represent a deity or deities of great importance.
