Arabian camels have served all needs of humans and have all benefited from the services as a species, for thousands of years camels has played many important role in Arab culture. Arabs called it the desert ship on their culture because of their amazing ability to efficiently use the resources their environments provide, they can withstand a massive amount of dehydration which allow them to survive.
Camels are the only animal that can travel for many days without food or water; it is the desert ship, you will be more comfortable with camels, camels are smart and they can carry more weight, riding camel is quite and peaceful, you can feel and hear the wind sighing in the brush, camels minds seem to be more complicated and interesting than other four- legged animal.
There is nothing and quite like a camel ride in the desert, you will start and begin to appreciate of these amazing and majestic creatures, this is the first step to explore and monotonous beauty of the desert. 
Be sure that camels are the best ride you can think of while traveling in desert, if you are planning on your tour to have an efficient and long tour ride then you don`t have better option than a camel ride.

Your camel will be lying down, your guide will have him saddled most camel owners will bring a small step stool and they will help you how to get on, the nice and good thing is that your camel will kneel down on their knees, but all what you need to do just put your foot in the stirrup and throw your leg over, then you have to sit relaxed, then the ride itself will be more fun, camel lift both front and back hooves of the left side, then front and back of the right side, this creates a very powerful motion from right to left, when the camel get down to get you off, the camel puts his front legs down first.
When the ride begins you have to throw one leg forward over the camel`s neck, that will ease pressure on the lower back makes his way across the sand, make sure you are comfortable and sit confidently on the saddle.
In Wadi Rum and Wadi Araba is generally sandy and flat landscape vast and open, between Petra and Wadi Rum you will cross valleys and mountains. The landscape varies day by day. We will cross a nice hard sandy trails, soft sandy trails and sand dunes. In your trip you will pass nomadic Bedouins living in their traditional Bedouin tents and you will pass some of historical landmarks and sites.
All you need to carry with you through your trip a medium size strong bag or a small backpack, T-shirt, long sleeve shirt, sweatshirt, fleece pullover, light cotton pants, shorts, warm sweeter( Nov to Mar.),windbreaker( Nov to Mar), raincoat( Nov to Mar),warm winter jacket (Dec to Feb),soft shoes for after riding and socks. For riding you have to bring with you riding hat and riding boots. For sleeping it`s better if you bring sleeping bag with you warm enough for the cool desert nights or sleeping bag liners are warm for the winter time( Nov to Mar) and if wish you can bring small pillow for you.
